I remember the good and kind service of a nurse who provided exceptional care and attention to my dad. She went out of her way to ensure his comfort during our stay. We were in this unit even during the holidays when other families were celebrating the season, yet she made the extra effort to make the hospital stay more pleasant. At one point, my dad wanted to go home and not proceed with his procedure. However, this nurse used her kind words and caring attention to help him process the situation, which allowed the procedure to go forward.

My mom also remembers her fondly. Without her efforts, it would have been much harder to manage my dad at that time. She handled him with patience and care, making everything so much easier. We regret not remembering her full name, but her kind heart and the excellent service she provided will never be forgotten. She is an Extraordinary Nurse who helped save my dad by making him feel cared for and by helping him realize the opportunity for life extension through the contemplated procedure. 
She’s our family’s hero.  Thank you for being an Extraordinary Nurse.
