I am a 27 year Police Vet. And a 13 year Air Force Security Forces Vet. Having been the caregiver in crisis management situations spanning my 40 years in law enforcement, I found myself receiving that same care from Nurse Griselda. I was humbled, to say the least.
Griselda came into my room recognizing my downward spiral from outside the bathroom. She entered and squatted in front of me and began assessing my crisis. Once she identified my issue, she determined nausea meds would help to resolve the issue.
As the proper meds were given, I began to stabilize both emotionally and physically. As the pain became manageable, Griselda left me with my dignity intact. Griselda's ability to empathize with me at one of my lowest moments proves her dedication to her patients.
