She learned her job and practiced with utmost professionalism and dedication. She believes in respecting everyone, no matter what color they are or what background they come from.
Gulnoza has been a caring, compassionate, helpful, and hard-working staff member on the unit. She will take any patient, even the most complicated ones on the floor. There was a psychiatric patient on the unit that she took care for all the shifts she was on. One of the days she wasn’t even scheduled and agreed to switch and work that day while said patient was still inpatient knowing that she will again have the same assignment. She respectfully and compassionately took good care of the said patient. She is a nurse who took good care of her patients without any side comments or any prejudice.
Gulnoza started as a new graduate RN on the unit, but she is on top of everything; she would not sit down, especially when other nurses are working. She would approach other staff to offer help at all times. She even offers to take a patient of anyone who she sees is not feeling well. She learned her job and practiced with utmost professionalism and dedication. She believes in respecting everyone, no matter what color they are or what background they come from. She is always available to the rest of the team, offering help, even offering breaks and food. She comes to work always ready to work and on time. She shows up to work with as much enthusiasm and a positive outlook. She is indeed an incredible addition to the L&D unit. Anytime she is unsure of anything, she will try everything to learn it.
Gulnoza is also a professional who aims to advance her practice. She is about to graduate with her BSN degree while taking care of her family and adding more hours to Olive View. She aims to become an advanced practice nurse, maybe a midwife. She is not afraid to learn new things. Once, I witnessed her taking initiative to deliver a baby, and she did it with so much confidence and humility in front of the provider. She is an extraordinary RN who needs to be recognized and who deserves to be celebrated.
