My 21-year-old special needs son had scoliosis reconstruction surgery. If we weren't nervous enough about the surgery, this was also his first time being admitted into the adult hospital. After surgery, he was admitted to the ICU. The nurse that he had was so amazing with him.

Even though he's nonverbal, Gursimran talked straight to him, let him know before she did anything, and explained what she was going to be doing. She stayed on top of everything, making sure that he was good in every way possible. That truly showed me the kind of person and the kind of nurse that she is. As if I wasn't already impressed with how she was with my son, I found out that he was her first patient out of orientation. That actually blew me away. I would have never known it if she hadn't told me. She knew exactly what she was doing as if she had been doing this for most of her life.

Out of every nurse that we've had over the years, I do believe that Gursimran has impressed me the most. Not only was she very good at her job, but if you had any questions, she would find the answers. And she was very patient and kind with us, and I will never forget her. Any hospital and any patient would be lucky to have her as their nurse.
