Our son was born at 29 weeks old and has been in the ICN for 2 weeks. Although we’ve been through many good nurses, Hala has been nothing but extraordinary. She has dealt with all of my questioning and put my wife and me at ease anytime something happens with him. Every time we are scared or worried she explains everything happening in detail, assuring us he is in good hands and everything happening is normal with premies. I’ve also noticed he is calmer under her care and supervision and she even sends us cute pictures of him when we are away. Even though my wife and I didn’t prepare for any of this to happen, Hala has made this whole experience better and I can’t wait to take our son home with us. If only we could take Hala with us too! We are very grateful for her experience and expertise in teaching and guiding us throughout our time here. Hala definitely deserves to be recognized!

Hala has been phenomenal with our son in the ICN. He is noticeably more calm when she is his nurse, and she explains everything that is happening with his care. When he had an episode when we were in the room, it really scared us and we weren’t sure what was going on. She took time to sit down and explain the event to us and comforted us by remaining calm but very compassionate. She even volunteered to be our son’s primary nurse. This not only showed her dedication to our son and his well-being, but to us as a family! She is amazing and we love seeing her whenever she is caring for him!
