Haley has worked for this department since she was a tech, and since day one she has always had positive, go-getter, attitude.Her attitude and positivity are contagious and she works hard to build others up when they are having a rough day.
Haley is capable of establishing a caring, compassionate, therapeutic relationship with every patient as well as their families.
She consistently will jump in and help patients and family members she is not assigned to, always having the patient's best interest at heart.
She is known for her hospitality and kind demeanor. Haley does whatever she can to make what can be a patient and their family's worst hours/day into a tolerable and more comfortable experience.
She cares for others as if they were her own family.
One specific instance, Haley voluntarily cared for a critical isolation patient who required total care. Haley took this on in stride, with a smile on her face.
Haley sat with her patient through lunch, helping with feeding, and assisting to the bathroom countless times. When the patient was finally discharged, days later, she looked to Haley with arms cheering in the air.
The bond they created was evident and goes to show what a little bit of TLC can do to make someone's day.
Haley is consistently the last nurse on her shift still working the floor, making shift change a seamless transition for her patients.
She definitely does not leave until her job is complete and completed to an extremely high standard. Teamwork is also something Haley excels at; she cares about the department as a whole and notices when an extra hand may be needed.
She is a supporting role model for not only her fellow co-workers but the charge nurse as well. This makes her an incredible leader in our Emergency Department.
