Haley consistently goes above and beyond for her students in the district. As a new School Health RN. I have learned so much from Haley about what it means to be an effective school RN consultant and how to put the health of the students as a priority in the school health selling. She advocates for her students; whether it is figuring out how to communicate with a difficult family or getting a student needed supplies for their diabetes care at school. She does home visits in order to learn more about the student and the family that they live with. She collaborates with all involved in the health care team of the student and ensures the best care is provided while in the school setting. She promotes education and support for families and those who are closest to the students.
She demonstrates compassion in the most astounding way! For example, she organized a diabetes support night for the students with diabetes in the district and when she speaks to the families, you can tell she truly cares.
Haley is extremely professional and exemplifies this at all times. When she has to have difficult conversations, she does not waver and she remains confident and unperturbed, while still being able to respectfully voice her opinion. She is a fabulous public speaker and can inspire a room to learn! She has always been a supportive teammate to me over the last 7 years we have worked together. She cheers you on even when you are struggling and offers advice whenever you call upon her.
I cannot say enough about how Haley is such an amazing RN, friend and human. She truly amazes me each day I work with her, and I strive to learn as much from her as I can.
