Hallie Kociemba, an RN in Pediatrics was recognized by a patient's mother for the comfort and education she provided in a stressful time:

Hallie was our nurse during the hospital stay of my son. When I first found out my son was going to be admitted, I was scared and I cried. Upon arriving to the Peds Floor, I was greeted by Hallie's warm face. She put me at ease when she told me 'we are going to take great care of your son.' Hallie spent a great deal of time explaining the procedures and tests and what to look for if my son's breathing worsened. Most importantly, the interaction between my son and Hallie was beyond anything I could have asked for. She was so kind and warm towards him while providing thorough care. I knew at that moment I was in the right place. Hallie is a great teacher and I learned many things about the care of my child. While the hospital was the last place I wanted to be, she made the experience less stressful. Thank you Hallie, from the bottom of my heart!
