My father (Papa) was diagnosed with cancer and died just 20 days later, very unexpected and quickly. Hattie was our nurse for several days and provided Papa with the best care we could have dreamed for him. He had multiple issues and pain head to toes for at least a year with very little or no relief. One specific evening Hattie bathed my Papa in a slow, soothing, comfortable bath. His words to me the next morning were "I haven't felt this good in over a year and I slept all night. Can we hire her for home?" Little did we know that was his last night of comfort. His dignity was maintained, he was grateful for the care he was provided. We can't thank Hattie enough for taking the time to make the man of our family feel wonderful. Thank you.
