Heather has been one of my favorite nurses since I first met her. She always has a big smile and a can-do attitude. She demonstrates the knowledge it takes to safely and effectively take care of patients who are very ill. On the flip side, she always knows how to appropriately manage difficult patients on her own, not needing to call the doctor for every trivial patient request. As a resident physician, some nurses treat us as less of a doctor, or challenge our every decision. Heather always treated me like I was the only doctor she was helping, learned my name very quickly despite having an in and out schedule in the hospital. I would trust her with my life in the hospital and hope other nurses around her make such a difference in both the lives of the patients and providers.
