My nurse was my nurse for my 3rd baby. I had previously had a stillbirth, and I was extremely anxious and a mess, to say the least. This nurse was there for me every step of the way. They assured me when I was worried about my baby by checking vitals over and over just to make me calm. They got me everything I needed without any fuss and went above and beyond to take care of me in a very intense time. They held me when I had my epidural and was praising me and calming me when I had to have it redone completely. The nurse was the sweetest and was so well educated in whatever landed at her feet. They even took some pictures of my birth that I will cherish forever. Not only were they extremely good to me, but they also had a few student nurses whom I allowed in the room with me. They guided them and was the absolute best mentor to those students. The nurse would praise them when they deserved it and stepped in when they needed help. To me, this nurse is the definition of an amazing nurse. They were truly called to be a nurse, and it reflects on how amazing she cares for her patients and treats her colleagues. She was so easy to talk to, and we immediately felt like family from the first moment we met her. She took care of me like my own mother would have. We love her & I wish every person had a nurse like her when they needed it. If any nurse deserves a DAISY Award, it's her.
