She withstood the rigors and had compassion toward anything that was thrown her way.
I have spent a total of 85 days at this point on the unit. Since my arrival, Heather has taken interest and caution in my healthcare. I came onto this unit with severe PTSD, SUD, and psychosis. During my stay, she has gone above and beyond for me and I couldn't be more appreciative. Through tireless efforts concerning my wound care, Heather spent weeks packing an open wound. The detail she paid attention to and the sheer knowledge of complete care was critical to my recovery.
Right from the start Heather attended to my needs both psychically and mentally. She was patient and caring with me even though I wasn't as nice at times. This sparked a professional relationship that I'll recall for a lifetime. Heather has intricately given her time with making sure my family is kept updated on my care and spends real quality time ensuring my mother is aware and satisfied that I am in good hands. This is monumental because she, my mother, is my biggest supporter and advocate. Makes us feel like we were a part of the team. I can sincerely tell that Heather is genuine and there's not another that in my experience can parallel her in any way possible.
I just truly love how she cares for her patients for example; Heather took me to a simple dental appointment that turned out not so simple. LOL, I ended up throwing up in the vehicle, next to her. She withstood the rigors and had compassion toward anything that was thrown her way. Heather even makes sure every day, that I'm doing good or if I need help by taking time out of her duties to spend with me and checking if my needs are met, and asks if there is anything she can help with to assist in me being comfortable. This simple act is encouraging, seems dedicated, and leaves me with optimism for the day. I've never experienced any other nurse that matches Heather's quality of care, skills, or dedication to their duties. Definitely strives to go above and beyond. That's unmeasurable to me and priceless.
