Heidi Haustein, BAN, RN, CMSRN, a nurse on 6 RCP, was nominated for going above and beyond her duties to care for a patient and his dog. The patient wrote:
Besides being extremely nice and helpful, she went out of her way to help me find shelter for my dog. She located a facility, got the pricing, and found a person I could call from the facility 24 hours a day. She went out of her way and picked my dog up from my truck, walked him, fed him, and got him safely to the facility. She understood how important my dog is to me. He was the last thing my wife and I got together before she passed away. Ms. Heidi is an amazing young lady.
