I would like to thank Heidi by nominating her for The DAISY Award. She is dedicated 24/7 a day for those of us who need “help” with our health issues. She goes above and beyond from nutritional concerns to rest and sleep issues. She has gone above and beyond in respect, being excellent at what she does, and is admired by many for her dedication and kindness to all. Thank you, Heidi, for all of your night care. We are all “tucked in” because you did it! Thank you for all of “your kind words” and your encouragement, Heidi! We all appreciate you, Heidi, and all that you do each day for us all!

Heidi cared for me from the time I could barely function after surgery to the time I was able to smile and walk in the hallway. She was extremely attentive and never made me feel like I was a bother or inconveniencing her. She never minimized my pain or nausea and always did everything she could to alleviate my symptoms. She provided care with confidence and skill, and I felt so very well cared for. Following surgery, I was told that I not only had cancer but also had to have a complete hysterectomy after six short months of marriage. Heidi listened to me, empathized, and provided much-needed support at a very difficult time. Heidi treated my family with respect and compassion. She explained everything that she was doing in a way that was easy to understand. Overall, I feel that she went above and beyond in the care that she provided, and she stood out from all the staff that cared for me. This is an award that is very deserved by this Extraordinary Nurse!
