I wanted to recognize the work ethic and commitment of Henry Hooks in his role as a preceptor. He exudes the value of growth and stewardship. Henry developed a generic orientation tool for his orientee and has shared this with the education team to provide to other preceptors/orientees. Henry has received positive feedback from his orientee(s) on how he precepts, his knowledge, and competence. The most recent orientee reported that she felt more confident and competent after orientating with Henry than she had with her other preceptors. I have observed Henry in his practice environment and the care of his patients. He is definitely a role model to others. I am an RN and felt that I learned from Henry just in observing him in his role. I'd like to thank Henry for his continued commitment to growth and stewardship in his role as a nurse and preceptor.
