Hanni Johnson was nominated by a mother whose nine-year-old daughter was seen in the emergency department and diagnosed with pneumonia and dehydration. In the mother's own words:
"Having a child in the ER hooked up to a nasal cannula oxygen, oxygen monitors, and a heart monitor was very frightening for me as a parent. I'm so thankful that Hanni was our nurse. Hanni was very calm and gentle with my daughter. She had a kind and caring demeanor, always explaining to my daughter what she was going to do before she actually did it."
***
Hanni is a charge nurse, a member of the Emergency Department Best Practice Committee, and an advocate for the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program. "She consistently demonstrates exceptional work habits and values and possesses a strong knowledge of emergency nursing. She is a role model and we are very proud she is on our team."
