Lisa is known to many as Hope. Hope is a true inspiration to the entire team on a daily basis. She brings a contagious, positive attitude that spreads to others and she will always brighten the day for patients, families, and coworkers.
Hope is one of the most compassionate nurses I know. Her compassion for her patients is recognized and expressed to me while rounding with patients and their families very frequently. Her dedication is also displayed by commitment by serving on multiple committees driving quality patient care such as ethics committees, falls committee, quality committee, and precepting. She is a role model for our team and loves to teach others and goes out of her way to involve new nurses in the delivery of care. She most recently touched the life of one of her patient's wives that she was taking care of that had COVID.
The wife of a patient called to say the "CCU Unit is phenomenal". She stated that the employees called her and kept her up to date on her husband's status and she was very pleased. She stated that she also had COVID and was not feeling well herself but is glad that she is kept up to date about her husband. She stated that Nurse Hope is an angel. She stated that she put a post on her Facebook, telling her friends of the CCU unit and how great it is.
She also expressed how that this angel "Hope" touched her life. She went on to say she was a nurse and went on and on about just how "Hope" had made a difference and how it impacted her and even said it was going to change the way she practiced as a nurse.
