Hsu-Chun is a sweet, patient, and kind nurse with a smile on her face all the time. She treats her patients as if they are her family. For example, one time, when she was measuring a patient's vital signs, she noticed that the patient looked really upset. She led her to express the negative feelings and understood how insecure and depressed the patient was due to repeated hospitalization. Aside from care and encouragement, she noticed that the patient is a Christian and therefore invited the chaplain of TAH to pray for her, wishing to bring her peace and calmness through the comfort of religion. What's more, Hsu-Chun told the doctor about the patient's concern for the state of illness and asked him to clarify once again in order to strengthen her confidence. After the patient was discharged, she wrote a thank-you letter and complimented Hsu-Chun, "she is polite and tender when she measures blood pressure. She cares about her patients. Even when she is busy, she takes care of the patients with a nice attitude. She makes me feel warm."
Hsu-Chun is a preceptor as well. She devotes herself to training new nurses of our ward and helps improve the quality of health care. She is an excellent model who puts a lot of effort into creating a high-quality healthcare environment.
