Hyelin has shown empathy consistently with her clinical patients. Her gentleness and genuine concern for their health is easy to see.
P- Hyelin has shown passion and compassion in her nursing journey, both in the classroom and on the clinical floor. She has demonstrated commitment to academic requirements that allow her to practice in clinical settings. Her compassion for her patients is shown in the tender and professional care she gives to the new moms and babies on the L&D unit during her capstone rotation.
E- Hyelin has shown empathy consistently with her clinical patients. Her gentleness and genuine concern for their health is easy to see. Although often quiet by nature, she has grown over the past two years to interact and show deep caring for each patient she works with. She has especially enjoyed the new moms and babies this semester.
T- Hyelin is trustworthy, and her patients know she will deliver their care with professionalism and sincerity. As her confidence has grown, her ability to converse and listen to patients’ needs has strengthened. Her capstone mentor can depend on Hyelin to carry out all cares and states, “Hyelin really knows her stuff and answered many questions on her first day”.
A-Hyelin is gentle, caring, intelligent, and independent. She has shown extreme kindness and determination throughout her nursing journey. She has demonstrated resilience when situations were very challenging. She can remain focused under stress and works hard to reach her goals. She can think for herself and incorporate the enormous amount of new material given to her daily into her practice skills and critical thinking. Her capstone mentor commented, “Hyelin surprised several of us with her knowledge and willingness to share on her first day”.
L- Hyelin is a quiet and developing leader. She will stay the course and do the right thing for her patients and the nursing profession. Her family and faith are very important to her and have remained so, especially during difficult times. As her confidence continues to grow, so will her leadership skills.
S- Hyelin is a selfless nurse, as shown by her kindness to patients, faculty, and peers. She puts her patients’ needs first. She is willing to always try to do the most she can, use the best method with EBP in her skills and judgment, and continues to learn while working hard each day. She works with handicapped patients in her job and her deep commitment to them shines as she shares her successes and frustrations.
