Nelly has worked with my son for a while now. She gladly took over when we had issues with another nurse not showing up. Nelly stepped in. She treats my son like she would her own. She is like family to us and is always available to work around schedules if we have appointments on the typical infusion day. My son receives weekly infusions. He had high anxiety working with someone new, but she really stepped up and made him feel comfortable. Her attitude and willingness to help is hard to find these days. She’s dependable, and for that, we are extremely thankful. She communicates everything with us, and that makes my job as a mother so much easier. My son has a fatal disease, and sometimes it’s nice just to have someone like Nelly come into your home, even if it’s for medical reasons; she makes our time go by fast, and she gladly listens to my talkative self. More importantly, she makes my son comfortable when he has anxiety sometimes or questions about his port. She is amazing, and we are so grateful to have her in our lives. She makes me laugh even on my hardest days. She’s like family to us.
