Irene took care of my baby as if he were her child. She took care of him like a little prince, under her tender care. The morning I met her she made sure he had everything he needed. I could he was getting better with each treatment. The next day she was not our nurse; however, she came in the room to see how he was doing. She came in as our nurse the next day and noticed that my baby was crying, but she said, "He is crying like he is in pain." I also had this feeling but could not figure out what was wrong with him. After having a few people check his IV they told me he was fine, the day before, but Irene, as usual, went the extra mile and removed the tape to reveal the cause of his pain. Nobody else noticed because the swelling was under the tape. She proceeded to follow protocol. Shortly after my baby was able to rest, felt great, and I was able to see him smile for the first time in a long time. Later that day she and the lovely and amazing RT brought him a handmade hat, they were an amazing team.
They were professional at all times, smiled, kept us positive, and care for him as if he were their own!
