Irma Fonte, at the hospital since 2004, Fonte was recognized for going above and beyond her regular duties to assist patients as a Spanish translator. She often stays past her scheduled shift to help staff explain to patients their procedures, daily nursing care and discharge instructions. She also has a great rapport with her patients and uses her skill to calm them when in need.
