Ivy has such passion and dedication to her patients. Every time I work with her, she genuinely cares about my role, what I am doing and how she can help. Ivy amazes me with her interactions and her extraordinary compassionate care. One example was with a long-term patient who needed a schedule and developmentally appropriate stimulation. I struggled with staff acceptance on developmentally appropriate play versus technology to benefit this patient. However, when I walk into the unit and Ivy had the patient for the day, she was in this patient's room with the lights on. She could have used the go-to iPad to pacify the patient, but she chose to go above and beyond, taking extra effort to better the life and the hospital stay for this patient. My heart was so full, but Ivy was just doing her job. She always takes care to the next level. I have worked with Ivy many times, providing information or asking for assistance. Ivy is always willing to listen, make eye contact, and take time to soak in the information to provide the best care. She cares about what others are saying and then implements suggestions and ideas for the better of the patients and families. Ivy is an amazing person to be around and truly implements the INTEGRIS values of Love, Learn and Lead. She is an example to others and any patient who has Ivy will be blessed with her kindness, passion, and caring nature.
