Jacinta didn’t just care for him physically; she held his hand tightly and told him, “You’ll be fine.” Her words gave him hope and strength.
How could I ever forget someone who stood by my husband’s side during the most challenging time of our lives? My husband was suffering from VTACH (Ventricular Tachycardia), and every time his heartbeat spiked, he received a shock from the defibrillator implanted in him since 2019. During these moments, my husband would always call for Nurse Jacinta by name. Her presence brought him comfort—she provided him with crucial information and boosted his morale, helping him overcome his fear and pain.
Back in 2019, Jacinta was the only one who took care of my husband's meals and assisted him with compassion. She also supported me, giving me hope and encouragement during those difficult days. We prayed together. I remember her reassuring words: “Go rest, trust me with your husband.” And when I returned the next morning, I would find him smiling and cheerful.
In August 2024, when my husband's condition worsened and we were readmitted to the hospital, he would always ask the nurses if Jacinta was on duty. When his condition required a transfer to the CCU, Jacinta’s name remained on his lips. Her presence reassured him, and he could finally rest and sleep deeply when she was around.
Jacinta didn’t just care for him physically; she held his hand tightly and told him, “You’ll be fine.” Her words gave him hope and strength. Even during critical moments—when my husband's heart stopped three times during recovery—Jacinta and her team acted swiftly, administering first aid and making the right decisions for his care. She even brought new treatments and medications to the physician’s attention, always thinking about what could improve his condition.
If my son and I were to write endlessly about our gratitude and love for Jacinta, it would still fall short. She is forever etched in my husband's memory, even when that memory falters. Her name and face are constants for him.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Jacinta, for everything
