Jacob came to perform his wound care head-to-toe assessment on my patient, and when he came, the timing was not ideal as my patient needed to be bathed and cleaned up. There is no other way to describe the situation we were in other than it was a true mess, thanks to certain medications. Jacob, in his kindness, cleaned my patient's entire mattress that had been soiled, helped contain the situation, bathed my patient with me, helped me make new sheets to put under the patient, and spent approximately an hour and 45 minutes in the room with me, ensuring that the patient was in better condition than he found them, all while doing his head to toe assessment for wound care, measuring the wounds and taking his assessment photos, and applying the appropriate treatments/dressings.

I truly would have not been able to handle this situation without his help; his kindness and positive attitude made the whole process a million times easier. Our wound care team is amazing, and they deserve the world -- especially Jacob!!
