I delivered my baby at 25 weeks. We were so grateful for the entire labor and delivery staff at TMMC. Too many people to name but Jac stands out in particular. Though I was emotionally distraught, she was encouraging and taught me about lactation so we could start pumping as soon as possible. We learned that our baby could not survive. I was very sick, but she stayed by my side as we took our baby off life support. She arranged for me to take my medications in the NICU. She took my vitals, made sure I was comfortable, and brought me water. She helped me hold him in the last hours of his life. She was incredibly compassionate and supportive, but never unprofessional. She is also a very skilled nurse. On a personal level, I feel as though she was my guardian angel. My husband and I have already decided that we will name our next baby, boy or girl, Jac. When you go through something this traumatic, it's the little things that help you get by, and Jac did just that.
