Jacqueline Gulstone is always passionate about what she does and how things are done. When a project needs to be done or undertaken, you can always count on her to move the "mountain" to get it done. In her clinical field she is revered by her peers and colleagues as someone who is focused and detail oriented. As a community advocate she goes above and beyond the call of duty to become involved in projects that will be most beneficial to the persons in need.
During the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Jacqueline left her home on Thanksgiving Day to go to a temporary shelter to help serve hot meals and distribute food supplies to persons that had been displaced. She was instrumental in mobilizing members of her chapter to participate in numerous humanitarian projects during this time. The most noteworthy of all was the assistance she was able to secure for a family whose home had flooded to the second floor. What was most troubling about the situation was that two of the three ladies in this home were disabled due to their medical conditions. She got these three dependent people to safety using a lift in poor conditions. Her help did not end there, this family received hot, home cooked daily meals that she prepared in her home and delivered to them daily.
Medical attention and medication was a challenge during this time for many yet Jacqueline overcame and addressed these challenges as well. She also had the home remodeled and rebuilt for handicapped accessibility, which had not been done prior to Hurricane Sandy.
