Jackie was so kind and was able to help me get calmed down, and I was not even her patient.
My mother was admitted to the hospital due to having a UTI. My mom was very confused. This gave me flashbacks to when my Dad was in the hospital, confused, and ended up dying. Due to COVID, we were not allowed to be with my Dad, and he was very confused in his final days. My anxieties were very high. Jackie, the nurse, asked me if we could go out to the nurse's station so we could get my mom's medical history. I followed her out there. She got me a chair, and I was able to sit and focus on something different for a few moments. Jackie was so kind and was able to help me get calmed down, and I was not even her patient. Jackie was my mom's nurse on the day my mom was discharged. I stopped in before work that morning. Jackie was very kind and called me with the discharge information. I was not able to answer my phone, and she left a message for me to call her back. Jackie called my sister to give her the instructions. She explained it to my daughter, that was there to take my mom home. When I called back, she explained it to me also! She was so so kind. I know she was very busy but was so kind on explaining the same thing three times! Jackie went above and beyond her job during that time frame that my mom was in the hospital. All the staff in the ER and 7N was amazing! Jackie stood out for her compassion and love for her job!
