Jaden was our nurse when my dad transferred out of ICU. His positive energy was a breath of fresh air and palpable! It brought life back into my dad as he was transferred to his new room. My dad, who has Parkinson's and Dementia, raised his arm for the first time as he was interacting with him and brought some levity to a difficult situation my mom and my family were going through. Jaden treated my dad as if he were his own family, stayed on top of everything, checked in frequently during his shift, and made sure my family was comfortable. More importantly, when we asked for his personal non-medical advice on what to do when we were deciding whether my dad should go into hospice, he shared authentically, honestly, and assertively as he had experienced a similar situation with his grandpa. My mom was really struggling with this decision, and his strong presence and advice gave my mom relief and the most comfort and assurance she's had in a long time. He comforted my family during an extremely difficult time, and his sharing helped prepare my mom, my brother, and I what to expect that made my dad's passing much easier to process in the following days. We can't thank Jaden enough for making my dad's last few days better. We are forever indebted and grateful.
