Jaime is truly a hero. She may not be the nurse running the code, but she is just as vital, If not more. She is compassionate, accountable, kind, knowledgeable, and a fierce advocate for patients in her care. She works tireless hours to make sure all emails, phone calls, appointments, and vital communications are handled in the most efficient and caring way.

My brother recently was diagnosed with a serious heart condition. He was terrified, and we live 3 hours out of the area. We have had so many questions and medication changes and she has literally called daily as needed to make sure the medication changes are working, what symptoms still persist, educated on how to possibly improve some of the conditions, and reported back to the doctor the information in a very timely manner to make sure my brother had the very best care and did not have to suffer for weeks or months until another appt was available for an in person visit. She continued the conversations until the symptoms were relieved and managed. She stayed on top of vital appts and side effect education for any and all monitoring required for new or additional medications.

She represented Saint Thomas and the doctor in the best possible way. When I envision Florence Nightingale, I envision Jaime. She exceeded our expectations, and I pray that she is recognized for being the amazing Nurse and wonderful human being she is. She is not afraid to jump into the trenches with you and help fight along with you and for you. So many times, things get lost in the shuffle, and even with best efforts, things get missed, especially with the higher demands due to short staffing and constant changes in regulations. Jaimie has found a way to succeed anyway! What a wonderful asset she is to patients, caregivers, her staff, and Saint Thomas.
