Jake received 4 DAISY Nominations all speaking to his listening skills, superb communication, compassion, kindness, humor, and excellence. One patient shared she never had a brother until her long stay at Jewish Hospital where she met Jake. Jake quickly became a part of the family and consistently checked in on them, even when he was not assigned to her room. He calmed all worries and fears throughout her stay. When family was unable to come, Jake would sit in the room and hold the patient's hand and comfort her through her tears and anxiety. The patient shared she will never forget Jake and hopes he knows just how much he saved her from giving up during that rough time.
