I am currently undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, after having a double mastectomy in mid-January. I’m writing this note to express my sincere gratitude for my oncology nurse navigator Jamie Angeline.

Jamie has been an invaluable ally during this scary & unknown journey, and one of the MAIN REASONS I have chosen to remain at HM-JSUMC for all of my treatment vs treatment elsewhere. She patiently and promptly answers all of my many questions and has given me excellent support & guidance on care even right down to how to navigate hair loss during chemo. Her knowledge and relationships with fellow staff at HM-JSUMC have allowed me to move thru with ease, and truly allow me to focus on my health & well-being vs the stress of navigating appointments, referrals, and unknowns.

As not having any experience with major medical issues until now, I did not know that I’d be assigned a nurse navigator at the start. However, this is a major point of difference for HM-JSUMC and again, one of the main reasons I’ve chosen to proceed with treatment here.

You have an outstanding employee in Jamie and again - so grateful she was assigned to me!
