My son, G, has had over 23 surgeries in his short 28 years of life.  We encountered many nurses during these experiences.  Jamie is one of the most memorable, nicest, conscientious, and pleasant nurses we have met.  Jamie has impressed me (a nurse of 40 years myself) with her thoughtfulness, caring, and empathy.  She looks beyond G's disability and has treated him as a person, treating him with the utmost respect.  She speaks to him, not at him. 

From the moment we met Jamie, she has been friendly, open, and full of warmth and compassion. No matter how busy she may be, she always has time to take care of our needs and does it with a smile.  She never makes us feel rushed or as if we are a bother. Jamie has taken the time to get to know G and his family. The key to being an awesome nurse is knowing the entire patient, not just the diagnosis. Jamie listens to what is being said and observes. Jamie is one of the best.  Full of kindness, warmth, and consideration. TMC is lucky to have her as one of its nurses.  She is truly a gem and one of the best in this profession. Every time she leaves the room, G tells me how much he likes her and how nice she is.
