My daughter arrived on 6/11/14 via Life Flight. She had head trauma and was moved to ICU after the ER. While in the ICU, Nurse Jan consistently made us aware of not only her current condition, but what to expect as well. She listened to our feedback and applied it into her routine. She was providing the care for my daughter, while giving much needed therapy to me in this unfamiliar scene. She worked to find the "sweet spot" with sedation drugs and never gave up. She found the "sweet spot" and what a difference it made. No longer was she thrashing around and yelling out profanities. She began communicating with Nurse Jan, which made a huge difference.

I've nominated Nurse Jan for this award because of her tireless effort to bring the best care possible to those who have lost the ability to care for themselves. Nurse Jan played a pivotal role in my daughter's care at this hospital and at a moment in time we will never forget, Nurse Jan was the guiding light that we will always remember.

Nurse Jan, you are like an angel to us. We will never forget the care you provided all of us. Thank you so much for doing what you do. We love you!!
