We have been visiting ward L41 for ten years now, several times a year. Jane always shines and brings so much joy to the ward with her smiling face and positive enthusiastic attitude. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Jane despite, at times, being really busy caring for patients and in her role as sister. Jane is always enthusiastic and keen to help with creative projects, whether it be finding things to make Halloween costumes or digging deep in the playroom to find crafts for Christmas when the play leader isn’t on duty. 

Her sense of humour makes my 10-year-old daughter and I laugh which is important because it can be quite miserable being in hospital. 

My daughter has a complex medical condition, and as a parent, I value Jane's experience and trust her with my daughter explicitly. 

Jane always works so hard, and she is still always smiling. We look forward to shifts when Jane is on duty, and I feel she very much deserves the DAISY Award because you couldn’t get a better nurse.

My nurse Jane was very helpful and nice throughout my stay in the LGI. She made me feel comfortable, and every time I pressed the buzzer, she would come immediately and sometimes check on me without me pressing the buzzer. Medication was on time, and she would have a chat with me and would make me feel better. She would say that I am so brave and that I will recover fast. She was very understanding, does her job very well and is the best nurse I have come across, thanks to Jane I felt comfortable to stay in the hospital. Thank you for everything I really appreciate you looking after my daughter, it will stay as a memory forever.
