Everyone in the GI lab nominates GI Lab Charge Nurse, Jane Clark for the DAISY Award. Jane does an excellent job for our unit as Charge nurse. She keeps all of the procedures running on schedule even with so many distractions, changes, delays, add-on patients and unforeseen events that are inevitable on a busy unit. Jane is always keeping "on top" of things and always helps out in which ever area; admit, procedure, or recovery that needs additional help. She is cheerful, has a great sense of humor that helps keep the day light hearted. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and a caring and compassionate nurse and expressed appreciation for our work. She is appreciated and respected by the staff, patients and doctors. She took on added responsibilities this summer when our Nurse Manager needed to be on family leave, and did an outstanding job.
