Jane, you were my unicorn, my angel here on earth.
Jane Jachowicz is one of our amazing Nurse Navigators. She has been with the breast center for a little over two years, and in that two years, she has touched so many lives. Jane goes above and beyond for each and every patient providing support for her patients. Jane has been known to spend hours with her patients making sure they get the support and comfort that they need before they are even in our clinic. Jane is the “go-to” for her patients. Whether it is meeting them on the day of their surgery before the sun comes up or going with them to their doctor visits. She is the comfort, caring, and willing nurse that every patient deserves.
Jane has a unique gift of making each and every patient feel like they are her only patient. They are able to heavily lean emotionally on her for support. She is with the patient before, during, and after their treatment. There are countless examples of patient cases in which Jane has provided this level of care.
One patient sent Jane a video on the 5-year anniversary of the day she was diagnosed and said: “Jane, you were my unicorn, my angel here on earth. From the moment I met you I knew we were in the right place, and that everything was going to be ok! You moved mountains in order to get things moving, which removed a lot of worrying and brought us a sense of peace as I began this fight. You did not just take care of me, but you took care of my family and for that I thank you.”
Jane's care is not limited to patients, she is a huge advocate and supporter of her fellow staff members. Jane's team has greatly benefitted from her knowledge, training, support, and feedback that allowed her team to grow to where they are today.
