Jane kept rubbing my forehead and telling me everything would be ok. It seemed like every time I woke, she was right there, she never left my side even during this critical moment.
I went to the hospital for routine surgery (hysterectomy). When I returned to recovery, I started internally bleeding/BP was low/I was in pain. I was in and out of consciousness and could hear my nurse, Jane, right beside my bed, trying to get my doctor on the phone immediately. I could see my BP numbers; I saw them bringing bags of blood. I knew something was wrong, but I was not panicked. I started telling God I couldn't leave; too many people needed me.

Jane kept rubbing my forehead and telling me everything would be ok. It seemed like every time I woke, she was right there, she never left my side even during this critical moment. She worked so hard for several hours, reporting everything, still making calls, watching my BP, and giving me blood. It seemed chaotic at times, but she always changed her tone when speaking to me calmly. I was so glad she never left me and fought so hard for me. I can't imagine what was going through her mind; I mean, I came in for a hysterectomy, now this! She honestly saved my life that day! I lost almost 4000 ml of blood; that's my body basically. Class IV hemorrhage. I'm so grateful for nurses like her!
