This past year, Janelle played a major role in launching the Compassionate Withdrawal Protocol (CWP) throughout the hospital by collaborating with all key stakeholders. Janelle realized there was an area of opportunity to help our patients transition from life-supporting measures to a more peaceful and dignified death. This evidence-based protocol helps to support patients' goals of care and autonomy, two key components of providing patient-centered care.
