My husband went to the WFH Emergency Room for a severely sore throat when he felt like his airway was closing. He was admitted to CCU, where Janet was assigned as his nurse. She made sure that all of our concerns and requests were met, even before we voiced some of them. She acted as a patient advocate for my husband in my absence, while I drove home to get our 13 year old daughter, who had no idea what was going on at the hospital. Janet maintained a positive attitude while caring for my husband, who is not always an easy person to be around. She gave him choices when she could in order to give him back some control and dignity while he was hurting and miserable. She answered all of my questions and reassured me during a very stressful time. Janet allowed me to step away from being a CCU nurse so I could be a wife and mother when my family needed me.
