I recently had an Aortic Root and Valve replacement. Afterward, I recovered in this area where Janie was one of the nurses overseeing my recovery. This was the first time I have stayed in a hospital. Janie made me feel comfortable and safe. Every day, she made sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Somehow, she was able to provide all of this attention and care without making me feel helpless. Janie felt like family. I am in a unique family position and had a unique support group. I really feel like even though it was her job, Janie was a part of my support group. During my entire stay, Janie treated me with respect. I felt like a person and not just a job. She is a credit to her profession. Janie Hance is an Extraordinary Nurse.
