She got eye level with me and talked to me at my pace and in a way I could understand and process.
Jasmine has gone out of her way to be here for me since I first met her as a patient back in 2023. This admission, however, is a time that stands out (since I am picking just one lol). I was terrified of letting the surgeons go inside of me. Jasmine knows my intensive trauma history and has taken time to understand and process it. Jasmine spent so much time explaining benefits to letting the surgeons go in and reduce the risk of harming me and my body. She got eye level with me and talked to me at my pace and in a way I could understand and process. Most nurses just rush in and give meds and leave. Jasmine comes in and spends time with me and listens to everything I tell her and approaches me with love and genuine care for me.

I cannot express enough how big of an impact Jasmine has made in my life as a nurse. Even after I had her as my nurse last time I was a patient here I left and tried to go to school for pre-requisites for nursing. One of my assignments was to write about who inspired me to want to pursue nursing and Jasmine was who I wrote about. She goes above and beyond and I could never thank her enough for all she has done for me in the darkest time of my life. She is a DAISY Nurse and deserves to be recognized for the amazing nurse and hero that she is.
