Jason was nominated for this award by the husband of one of his patients who wrote:

My wife has been hospitalized numerous times over the years and we have experienced hundreds of nurses. Most have been good. Some have been great. Jason was exceptional.

An example of his exceptional nursing is a situation that happened late one night/early morning. My wife actually soiled the bed. She was terribly embarrassed and felt bad because she knew it would be a lot of work to clean up and change the bedding. Jason assured my wife that it was not a problem and in fact "happens quite a lot". He was very kind and gentle in cleaning her and changing the bedding. He handled it in a way that maintained her dignity. While he was doing this, he answered questions about her condition and her treatment.

I am so thankful that he was my wife's nurse. Being in the hospital is so stressful for patients and family. Jason was a blessing to us at this very scary, painful and difficult time. I whole heartedly nominate him for the DAISY Award.
