He stayed by my side, talking to me for a while about beautiful and happy things to make me forget the severity and intensity of the pain I was suffering from.
When I was receiving treatment today in the emergency department, the nurse Jay Josayan, a Filipino national, was very cooperative with me, as I was suffering from sickle cell anemia pain, and he was familiar with this situation. After the tests were done, he stayed by my side, talking to me for a while about beautiful and happy things to make me forget the severity and intensity of the pain I was suffering from. When he brought the medications, he checked on me from time to time before I pressed the bell to reassure himself and ask if I needed anything. This is the characteristic of the nursing staff, as they are angels of mercy, and their feeling for patients comes first. This is not the first time that we have praised the efficiency of the medical staff, but this is the first time that I felt that it was my duty to praise these good qualities so that these beautiful moments would be ingrained in my memory.
