Two years ago, my wife was diagnosed with cancer. We had no idea what to expect or what to do. We were extremely confused. We selected CARTI to facilitate and administer her treatments. On the first day of her treatment in Pine Bluff, our nurse met us. She explained the procedures and what to expect to us in great detail. She got my wife a pillow, warm blanket, water and an Ensure. She went above and beyond to make sure that my wife, S, was comfortable and relaxed. Our nurse always greeted S with a warm smile, treated her like family, and made sure she had everything she needed to be comfortable. While S's treatments were being administered, she was constantly checking on her and reassuring her that she wasn't fighting this battle alone. It seems our nurse’s mission and utmost concern was S's comfort. We watched as she not only took care of S with excellence but also constantly helped the other nurses with their patients. We sincerely believe that she went far beyond the call of duty when it came to the care and attention, she gave S. The professional, compassionate, skilled care given by Jayanne Cook was definitely appreciated during one of the most difficult times in our lives. I highly recommend, and I know my late wife S would agree, Jayanne for The DAISY Award.
