Jean was playing tennis when her opponent fell out on the tennis court. Jean immediately started CPR and asked someone to call 911 and get an AED. No AED was available. Approximately 11 minutes later the ambulance arrived with an AED and the pads were placed on the patient by Jean. The patient was in V-tach. Jean delivered a shock and the patient returned to sinus rhythm. The patient was sent to another hospital then airlifted to Vidant Medical Center. She had open-heart surgery and is doing very well.
Thanks to Jean's expertise and quick actions, I am sure this is why the patient is alive today.
Jean is my manager and I am very proud of her. Not often do we get to give accolades to our managers. Jean is always making sure her team members get the credit they deserve. Paying it forward.
