Patient's Wife Writes:

"In additional to Jeanna being an exceptional nurse, she took it upon herself to make my birthday special by presenting me with a card, flowers, and a cake. My husband had been in the hospital for the past several weeks; and prior to that he had been very ill. He was feeling bad about not being able to give me a birthday celebration. We really appreciated all she did to make his stay special. She gave us such exceptional care."

Co-Worker Writes:

"Jeanna had taken care of the patient over the weekend and learned from him his wife's birthday was today. He was in the hospital last year on her birthday as well and expressed he felt bad that she had to spend her birthday 2 years in a row, visiting him. Jeanna was charge nurse that day. She brought in a birthday cake and banner for the husband (the patient) to surprise his wife with! This small gesture, I am sure, helped the patient feel better about recognizing his wife's special day-which allowed him to heal more quickly and return home!
