There are so many situations that I could share that shows the person that Jeannette Brown is, but to do that I would need to share a little of my 'background story. I was diagnosed with uterine cancer at age 34 and had yet to have any children. I was actually experiencing fertility issues prior to the cancer being found. I was blessed to have a stellar doctor that helped get rid of my cancer and gave me the opportunity to try and conceive. In October of 201 0 I was cancer free and sent to Dr. Lucidi to try and have the family we had always hoped for.
I have been a patient of Jeannette's for about 7 months now. Since day one Jeannette has gone above and beyond her required duties to take care of me. Having gone through 10 months of cancer treatments, surgeries and care, we were definitely at an emotional and financial low. Jeannette was so kind and gave me samples to help offset the financial expense of our first round of fertility medications. She graciously answered my phone calls and emails with all sorts of questions no matter how silly or paranoid they may have seemed. This however was just the tip of the iceberg when it came to her kindness.
To everyone's surprise I was blessed to conceive in December of 2010. When I got the phone call from Jeannette that I was pregnant, it came 1 year after my cancer diagnosis. We were ecstatic to say the least. I remember hearing her say those words "You are SO PREGNANT" and both of us just crying in joy. Sadly I lost the baby 2 weeks later. It was after my miscarriage that I truly saw the person that Jeannette is. When I came in for my check-up she hugged me and cried with me. She calmed, reassured and encouraged me to try again. She was able to empathize with my husband and me and our loss. She continues to encourage me every visit. Her ability to comfort and support women in this situation is amazing.
Jeannette exemplifies the caring, compassionate and supportive qualities that a nurse should have. Her commitment to her job and helping women realize their dream of conceiving a child is unparalleled. She is a blessing to all who are fortunate enough to have her as their nurse.
