My dad was in your hospital, and Jeffrey was his night nurse on his last two days (my dad passed away). Jeffrey truly was a blessing to me and my dad. He was caring, competent, empathetic, and patient. He took the time to explain what was happening to my dad, and he lovingly cared for my dad. There was truly nothing Jeffrey wouldn’t do for us. My dad was very thin- Jeffrey took the time to get a pediatric cuff because the adult cuff was too large. Jeffrey spoke to my dad with kindness and attended to his every need. Jeffrey helped me learn how I needed to support my dad while he was going through the stages of death. He coached me and led by example. When there was an emergency, he quickly ran into action. He did everything in his power to help make my dad more comfortable. I cannot express enough my gratitude for the outstanding care he gave to both of us. He is an amazing nurse, and Lutheran Hospital is fortunate to have him on staff. Although it was a very difficult time for us, we will always remember and appreciate the loving care given to us during our stay. I truly hope Jeffrey receives this award; I have never experienced such exceptional care. Thank you!
