This is now the second stay that I have had Jeff as my nurse. He also took care of me after spine surgery and he remembered me just as I remembered him. Jeff went above and beyond when I was on the unit after my surgery and he went, as usual, above and beyond during my most current stay. It is very clear that patient care, comfort, friendliness and compassion for others are all very important to Jeff. He goes the "extra mile". I would bet that without that "extra mile", Jeff would still be one of the BEST nurses I have EVER encountered.
Even though I haven't been in St. Joe's Hospital specifically more than a small handful of times, I have been an inpatient at hospitals many times and STILL, Jeff's kindness and compassion stick out as one of the best patient care experiences I have ever had. My husband even remembers me speaking about Jeff from my first stay and when I told him that Jeff would be my nurse, my husband specifically said, "I feel better going to work because I know you're in good hands with him". The fact that even my husband remembers him should speak volumes to whoever is reading this.
Other nurses were nice enough but nothing compared to Jeff. He honestly makes me feel at ease and that is not something I think I have ever said about ANY hospital. Usually, when I have to be an inpatient, I am an anxiety ridden mess. Thanks to Jeff, I was actually able to relax a couple of nights of my stay. Thank you, Jeff!
